The Hoxton, High Holborn recently underwent construction works for a new bedroom extension.The works included a rear infill extension above the current service yard and mansard roof extension above the existing 5-storey wing, to accommodate 46 additional hotel rooms.

Trimline Group worked alongside Garenne Interiors to prepare a specification for a bespoke and guaranteed tile backing and waterproofing system partnered with luxury tiles.It was clear from the outset that the client was looking for confidence in a solution that would suit the project needs.

Dukkaboard Original-Panels were chosen for use on the walls, to give the perfect tiling substrate.Ready to tile, this tile backing board is lightweight and fully waterproof.Paired with Dukkaboard Shower-Trays and Linear Drain Gulley’s, the Dukkaboard system is guaranteed for 25 years.

Aqua77 tanking was used to complete the waterproofing, before tiles from the Pyro + Echo Borough Place Brick range where installed using Python Adhesives and grouts.

Lyle Reeves made several site visits, completing consultancy, helping with technical build ups and room layouts and overseeing onsite training, to ensure that South Coast Stones fitters where fully competent with installing the system.
